Takuboku Ishikawa's Tanka and Poetry

Kotaro Takamura (1883-1956) was both poet and sculptor. His poetry collection 'My Path' explores self-realization, while 'Sculpture Theory' examines the essence of art. Through the integration of poetry and sculpture, he opened new horizons in Japanese modernist poetry and aesthetic theory, profoundly influencing subsequent artists and thinkers.

Yakumo Koizumi (Lafcadio Hearn, 1850-1904) was an Irish writer who introduced Japanese supernatural tales and folklore to the world. Through works like 'Kwaidan' and 'Kokoro,' he expressed Japanese aesthetics and horror in English, gaining international recognition. He became a cultural ambassador, pioneering the internationalization of Japanese literature and cultural understanding.

A poet and fairy tale writer known for 'Night on the Galactic Railroad' and 'The Restaurant of Many Orders.' His unique vision fusing Iwate's nature with cosmic imagination gained recognition posthumously and is considered a treasure of Japanese literature. He influenced many creators including Hayao Miyazaki.
