Kawagoe Warehouse District

Heritage reflecting Japan's commerce and trade culture developed in the Edo period. Post-towns along major routes, warehouse-style commercial districts, and merchant facilities remain throughout the country. Representative examples include Kawagoe, Takayama, and Onomichi.
