Kawachi Wisteria Garden

Shizuoka's first-flush tea (shincha) harvest season spanning mid-April through early summer. Spring's rainy climate creates optimal conditions for producing high-quality tea with distinctive aroma and deep flavor. Tea-picking experiences and tea festivals attract tourists, making this season a symbol of Japanese tea culture.

A privately-owned wisteria garden in Yao, Osaka Prefecture. Cultivating over 2,000 wisteria vines of approximately 22 varieties, including ancient plants exceeding 150 years old. From late April to early May, purple, white, and pink flowers reach full bloom, allowing visitors to walk through tunnel-like canopies of wisteria flowers. Gained rapid popularity through social media in recent years.
