Konjikedo (Golden Hall) at Chusonji Temple

A shrine in Nara established in the Nara period. Founded in 768, it was revered as the tutelary deity of the Fujiwara clan and is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The harmonious landscape of its vermillion-painted structures integrated with Nara Park makes it an emblematic symbol of Nara. Its year-round rituals and the famous lantern ceremony attract attention from around the world.

An Amida hall within Chusonji Temple in Hiraizumi, Iwate. Built in the 12th century, this gold-leaf-covered Buddhist hall represents the pinnacle of Pure Land Buddhist aesthetics, symbolizing a vision of paradise. It is the core structure of Hiraizumi's UNESCO World Heritage designation and stands as Japan's most iconic Pure Land temple.

信州享有盛名的古剎，素有「一生至少參拜善光寺一次」的說法。不分宗派，任何信眾皆可參拜，供奉著據傳為日本最古老的佛像——一光三尊阿彌陀如來。每七年舉辦一次的御開帳盛事，吸引數百萬信眾前往朝聖。

位於京都市左京區的臨濟宗相國寺派寺院。建於1489年，這座二層樓閣原計畫以銀箔覆蓋，但最終未加塗裝，如今與苔蘚花園相輝映，體現了侘寂（wabi-sabi 美學）的精髓。建築風格凝聚了室町時代的美學內涵，1994年被登錄為聯合國教科文組織世界遺產。

位於京都市左京區的禪寺，正式名稱為慈照寺。建於15世紀後半，銀閣以有別於金閣寺的侘寂美學聞名，以質樸而精緻的建築風格與枯山水庭園著稱，被視為日本美術的最高峯。年均吸引約200萬名遊客造訪。

位於東京都台東區的寺院，創建於7世紀。以紅色燈籠點綴的仲見世通聞名，每年吸引約300萬名參拜客。作為東京代表性景點，備受訪日外國遊客青睞。淺草地區整體保留了江戶情韻，在日本民間信仰傳統中佔據重要地位。

位於奈良縣奈良市的華嚴宗大本山。8世紀由聖武天皇創建。大佛殿是現存木造建築中規模最大者，安置高度15公尺的奈良大佛。1998年列入聯合國教科文組織世界文化遺產，每年吸引約300萬名參拜者。
