Onomichi in Hiroshima Prefecture is a hillside town along the Seto Inland Sea. Narrow lanes and 25 temples create a maze-like landscape frequently featured in films and dramas. The interplay of townhouses and temples on the slopes symbolizes quintessential Japanese aesthetics. 岐阜縣高山市延續自江戶時代的古老町並。綿延約2公里的本町筋街道上，仍保留著江戶至明治時代的建築物，展現飛騨工匠精湛的建築工藝。因朝市集與每年四次的高山祭典聞名，年均吸引約200萬人造訪，為代表日本傳統町並風情的國家級觀光地。
