Senso-ji Temple Complex

A gate standing at the entrance to Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. Characterized by its iconic red lantern and imposing structure, its origins trace back to the Heian period. Since the Edo era, it has symbolized Asakusa. After reconstruction in 1960, it attracts millions of domestic and international visitors annually, serving as a beacon of Asakusa culture.

位於京都市左京區的臨濟宗相國寺派寺院。建於1489年，這座二層樓閣原計畫以銀箔覆蓋，但最終未加塗裝，如今與苔蘚花園相輝映，體現了侘寂（wabi-sabi 美學）的精髓。建築風格凝聚了室町時代的美學內涵，1994年被登錄為聯合國教科文組織世界遺產。
