Owara Kaze no Bon

A contemporary dance festival held in Kochi, Kochi Prefecture every early August. Despite being founded in 1954, it fills city streets with dancers holding clappers (naruko). Based on the folk song 'Yosakoi Bushi' but blending modern music and dance, it represents an innovative summer festival. Its influence has spread nationwide, inspiring Yosakoi-style festivals in many locations.
