Bando Thirty-Three Kannon Pilgrimage

A Kannon pilgrimage circuit visiting thirty-four temples in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture. Based on the Bando Thirty-Three, it adds Ryusenji Temple as the 34th site, Chichibu's oldest Kannon sanctuary. Developed during the Edo period as a focus of farmer devotion, today attracting approximately 300,000 annual visitors. This community-centered pilgrimage tradition integrates Chichibu's natural landscape with faith practices. Recent recognition as an anime pilgrimage site has increased its prominence among younger visitors.
